CI & LP DEADLINES AND SCHEDULE FOR NEXT FEW WEEKS AMENDED

As well as your targets which must be completed ASAP.


Please note the CI and LP deadlines:


CI


All CIs due Wednesday 30th March - If you don't hand in then you won't get the chance of another draft before submission.


FINAL DRAFT (BEFORE POLISH) DUE 27TH APRIL


FINAL POLISH DUE: Wednesday 4th of May - NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED BEYOND THIS DATE - THAT MEANS ZERO MARKS!


LP


First draft versions to be completed and submitted Wednesday 6th April - whatever you have will be assessed then, it is your chance to get feedback.


EASTER LP catch-up Tuesday 12th OF APRIL. (letter in post about this)

P1-2     LP - pick-up of practical work as necessary (review of all LPs), hand-in of CIs
P3-4     Theory into essays - New Media case study - Marshall McLuhan


HOMEWORK:
New Media essay completed.


Week beginning 4th April

P6&7    Unseen texts: analysis and questions


Wednesday
P1-2     CI Tutorials / LP
P3-4     LP review and prep for Easter catch-up


EASTER BREAK


Tuesday 12th April
10-3      LP catch-up session final practical work supported by me


Homework:  Final drafts of CI to be written, all work on LP to be continued in own time. Those of you using iMacs for editing/animation/DTP may need to consider having other means to complete your LP apart from the iMacs at School.


SUMMER TERM


We have three lessons before CI and LP coursework submission.


Week beginning 25th April


Wednesday 27th
P1-4    Work on LP - peer and teacher assessment. CI DRAFT 3 SUBMISSION advise for final polish.


Week beginning 2nd May


Monday 2nd
P6&7   Work on LP


Wednesday 4th May
P1-4     Submit LP and CI - FINAL DEADLINE
             Complete paperwork and ensure DVDs are made. Printing and digital copies as necessary.


Rest of May and June up to exam:


Exam preparation: 

  • Section A: Unseen text, analysis an questions - developing time management and hitting the assessment objectives
  • Section B: fine tuning choices - reps or new media - ensuring that you make the right choice and are prepared. Incorporating 3Cs - concepts, contexts and critical debates.
