A reminder of the homework for Tuesday - I understand Jess that you weren't there and this is probably too late for you however...
You are working on the essay title from last Tuesday which you did complete in the lesson time. However, you now have more texts to draw from and another theorist to use in Stuart Hall
Check out the link below to see Hall speaking in interview.
Hall on YouTube
For those unable to make Friday's lesson the text viewed included selected scenes from CRASH and also scenes from MACYNTYRE Investigates - focussed on street crime. It would be fantastic for you to 'quote' from the texts as well as the theorists you now have including Mistry, Gramsci and others you have in your Handbook. remember that the purpose of this is for you to become familiar with writing these types of essay so that in your exam it will become second nature to you and you WILL be able to quote from theorists with confidence. In addition can I remind you that the focus is always on SHEP and the marks follow this. Don't spend all your time gassing about how great La Haine is...not that you would I realise.
Here too is a link to HALL for more on Marxist Theory.
Good luck and don't miss tomorrow's lessons.
