I will be out on INSET all day today so unable to teach the class however, I am expecting you to work during the four periods on your research portfolio.

These are the items you will need.

• Bibliography of ALL texts you have accessed with the standard Harvard reference system you have been taught to use.
• Evidence of micro analysis of a range of texts but in particular your chosen primary texts.
• Evidence of a range of different research techniques: surveys, interviews, reading, watching, thinking: qualitative, quantitive, analytical.
• Possibly: photocopied and analysed pages from text books, secondary texts etc. analysis could be on separate sheet or post-its etc.
• Images analysed - in similar ways to text
• Filmed material, photographs etc - with explanation of what research is drawn from this.
• Evidence of how you are dealing with the wider contexts SHEP and application of THEORY
• List of task to be undertaken to complete research WITH DEADLINES FOR COMPLETION - could include texts to be watched, read, listened to etc.
• Introductory 200 words explaining what you are investigating and why.

You will need to bring all of this to the class on WEDNESDAY THE 20TH without fail. I will remind you on the Monday AND on the Tuesday when we are at the Screening in Covent Garden.
